These keys work when the map, rings or list has the focus — click an empty spot of the view first if needed.

Key Does
← → Select the previous or next item of the same folder (largest first)
↓ Go into the selected folder and select its largest item
↑ Select the parent folder, or zoom out
Return Zoom into the selected folder
Esc Deselect the item and close the inspector; press again to zoom out
Space Open or close Quick Look for the selected file

Elsewhere

  • On the welcome and home screens, Return clicks the blue button (Get Started, Scan My Mac).
  • While a scan runs, Esc cancels it and goes back to the home screen.
  • In confirmation dialogs and sheets, Return confirms the highlighted button and Esc cancels — for example in the Collector’s review sheet.
  • In the search field, start typing to search every file of the scan; clear the field to go back to the map.
