The short answer

Usually, after a check. Might hold something you care about. Look inside before removing it.

What is it?

Keras downloads pretrained weights, for example for its built-in image models such as ResNet or EfficientNet, into ~/.keras/models. Each file ranges from a few MB to several hundred MB.

Pretrained weights downloaded by Keras. They download again on next use.

What happens if you delete it?

Weights are downloaded again the next time a script asks for that pretrained model.

How to remove it properly

Move the folder, or the files you no longer need, to the Trash in Finder (Go › Go to Folder… ~/.keras/models).

Quit the app that uses it, then move it to the Trash. Empty the Trash when you’re sure.

Before you delete it

Check that you did not save your own trained models in this folder; those cannot be downloaded again.

How MoreRoom helps

MoreRoom recognises this item and labels it “Review first”: it shows what’s inside, its size and last use, so you can decide. Nothing is removed without your say, and everything goes to the Trash first, with Undo.
