The short answer

Yes. Rebuilt or re-downloaded automatically when needed.

What is it?

Selenium Manager, built into recent Selenium releases, automatically downloads browser drivers such as chromedriver and geckodriver, and sometimes whole test browsers (Chrome for Testing, Firefox), into ~/.cache/selenium. Old versions accumulate as browsers update. Typically a few hundred MB, more when test browsers are included.

What happens if you delete it?

Selenium Manager downloads the drivers and browsers it needs again the next time a test session starts. Expect a short delay on that first run.

How to remove it properly

Move the folder to the Trash in Finder (Go › Go to Folder… ~/.cache/selenium).

Quit the app that uses it, then move it to the Trash. Empty the Trash when you’re sure.

How MoreRoom helps

MoreRoom recognises this item, shows its real size and when it was last used, and labels it “Safe to remove”. In the free version you can move it to the Trash in one click, with Undo; Pro collects every safe item at once.
