## What is it?

Visual Studio Code stores compiled JavaScript for its own code in `~/Library/Application Support/Code/CachedData` to start faster, in one folder per VS Code build. Folders from previous versions often stay after updates. Typically a few hundred MB.

## What happens if you delete it?

VS Code rebuilds the cache for the version you run; the first start after deleting it may be a little slower. No settings, extensions or files are lost.

## How to remove it properly

Quit VS Code, then move the folder to the Trash in Finder (Go › Go to Folder… `~/Library/Application Support/Code/CachedData`).
