## What is it?

Crash, hang and resource reports macOS writes for system processes and apps, stored in `/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports` (your own account’s reports are in `~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports`). Usually small, but repeated crashes can add up.

## What happens if you delete it?

New reports appear only when something crashes or hangs again. Old reports are only useful for troubleshooting or sending to a developer.

## How to remove it properly

If you are troubleshooting, view them first in Console under Crash Reports. Then move reports older than about a month to the Trash in Finder (Go › Go to Folder…); this folder needs an administrator password.
