## What is it?

Playwright downloads its own WebKit build to test Safari-like behaviour, stored in `~/Library/Caches/ms-playwright` as `webkit-<build>` folders. Each Playwright upgrade can add a new one, and older builds may remain. Each is typically a few hundred MB.

## What happens if you delete it?

Old builds come back only if a project still needs that version and you run `npx playwright install`. The newest build is kept.

## How to remove it properly

Run `npx playwright uninstall` in a project to remove builds no installation still uses. Otherwise move the older `webkit-*` folders to the Trash in Finder (Go › Go to Folder… `~/Library/Caches/ms-playwright`).
